This morning I made a particular effort to get out of bed in time to get to the other side of Brough Castle before the sunrise ended. The first of these photos was taken at 08.07 and the second to last at 08.20. The last one was taken just two minutes later – just going to show how quickly that glorious red sky disappears.
One piece of advice I remember reading in a photography magazine: when photographing sunrises and sunsets, don’t forget to look behind you. These two photos were taken looking the other way – a more subtle, but still lovely sky.
